Installed a DVD-RW

Sony-DVD-RW

Recently my uncle bought a Sony DVD-RW and wanted it to be installed in his PC, so he called me for it. I was also eager to try my hands on something like this.
Just read some articles about the Master/Slave jumper settings & the IDE cable connections.

Sony-DVD-RW back

He already has a Sony CD-R Drive & a Sony CD-RW Drive so the IDE cable is all used-up already. The HDD IDE cable had no slave connection pin (don’t know why). So I disconnected the CD-Drive & connected the DVD-RW Drive, it was not going to be utilized anyways.

Connected everything, double checked the connections & reconnected the CPU.

That’s it! It was working fine. Even tested it by writing a CD.
